TOM FORD’S NEW MEXICO RANCH DESIGNED BY TADAO ANDO

Tom Ford is no stranger to the best of the best, so it comes as no surprise that the prolific American designer enlisted one of the world’s greatest when it came down to designing his New Mexico dream home – a sprawling, luxe ranch. Enlisting famed Japanese minimalist architect Tadao Ando to create the palatial wonderland, enjoy these scenic views of Ford’s Santa Fe residence, which contains a fully equipped equine facility on premises. Maybe you recall, Ford’s first stint in the fashion business was interning at Chloe in Paris, who were unaware that his Parsons degree was, in fact, in the field of Architecture.

greenwich village roof garden :: graftworks design research architecture

the project was developed as a 1,100 s.f. roof garden on top of a five story 1850’s brownstone in greenwich village.
the program brief included requirements for seating, planting boxes, a canopy, and an outdoor shower along with the
need to replace the roof, parapets, and the renovation of the existing stair bulkhead.
